UK fantasy writer David Gemmell, born 1948, died this morning at his home, a week following quadruple heart bypass surgery. Gemmel was the author of over 30 novels, including Legend (1984), first in the long-running Drenai series, and numerous other books in the Slipstrassi, Hawk Queen, and Rigante sequences.

Bob Freeman is an author and paranormal investigator who resides in rural Indiana with his wife, son, and sister-in-law. Bob is the author of the Cairnwood Manor series from KHP Industries, Widdershins: Dark Prose and Darker Poetry from Lion's Den Studios, and numerous short stories. He is also the writer of the comic books Loose Cannons and Worlds of Wonder, both from Lion's Den.
