It was a night filled with the echoes of phantom footsteps and a spectral entity that was on the move...
The Wabash Paranormal Investigation and Research Group descended on the I.O.O.F Building in downtown Converse last evening. Now home to the Eastern Woodland Carving Club, the building started out, in 1847, as a two-story structure that housed a department store on the ground floor and the meeting place of the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan on the second. In 1891 a third floor was added and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows took up residence.
